# Your piece of university anniversary to take away

Our new products to mark the 500th anniversary of Philipps University of Marburg will be available from October. From mugs and T-shirts to lanyards, cloth bags and bookmarks – practical and stylish accessories with a university feel. For everyday use, to take with you, or as a gift.

## Your own piece of the university’s anniversary to take home

#### New anniversary edition in the university shop

500 years of Philipps University – that’s history to marvel at, knowledge to discover and an anniversary we’re celebrating together. And sometimes, a memento of this can quite simply find its place in everyday life: as your favourite mug in the cupboard, on your key ring, on your desk or as a T-shirt you love to wear.

To mark this anniversary year, we have therefore put together a range of special products that showcase Philipps University and its 500-year history in a variety of ways. Some are practical, some are tongue-in-cheek, some are simply beautiful – and all are designed to bring joy for as long as possible.

The range includes T-shirts and a zip-up hoodie in an anniversary design, a fabric bag, a mug and a ‘Kolter’ – the Hessian woollen blanket for cosy moments. For your desk and everyday use, there’s a mouse mat featuring the university’s seal, bookmarks, a set of magnets with various anniversary motifs and a stress ball, amongst other things. If you’re on the go, you can keep the anniversary spirit with you at all times with a power bank or a lanyard that doubles as a USB-C charging cable.

When selecting the products, we made sure they were in keeping with the university and its anniversary, had genuine practical value and could be used for as long as possible. After all, our anniversary shouldn’t just be visible for a moment: the products are intended to bring a little piece of Philipps University into everyday life and be associated with fond memories of the anniversary year.

And if you’re already curious, stay tuned: Further special items will be added throughout the anniversary year. Plans include a ‘hidden object’ book about Philipps University of Marburg, special products created in collaboration with local producers, and jewellery by a Marburg-based goldsmith. In this way, the anniversary is continually linked to the city and the region where the university has been based for 500 years.

From October, the anniversary products will be available at the two branches of the Tourist Information Centre run by Marburg Stadt und Land Tourismus (MSLT).
