Marburg Collects! How Objects Tell History

The exhibition "Marburg Collects! How Objects Tell History" focuses on the collections of the Museum of Cultural History at the Marburg Landgrave Castle (Landgrafenschloss). Many objects—collected, preserved, and researched over the course of more than 100 years—are currently kept in storage and are generally not accessible to the public. The exhibition, held in the Waldeck Hall, explores how collections come into being, who assembled them, and why specific objects are preserved. At the same time, it demonstrates that the collection of historical artifacts remains a central and ongoing task of the museum.
