Between Tradition and Transformation: Three European Universities in Comparison from Their Beginnings to the Present Day

To mark their anniversaries in 2027, the universities of Marburg, Mainz, and Tübingen are organizing a joint lecture series on university history. Six lectures will offer comparative perspectives on the participating universities. The topics range from the founding of the universities and the admission of women to the post-1945 era. Two lectures will be held in person at each location, and all lectures will be broadcast live.
